Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data we process through the intermedmedia.hu website, for what purpose, on what legal basis and for how long, who has access to it, and what rights you have in relation to it. Data processed in our training courses and projects is covered by separate notices. “GDPR” means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (General Data Protection Regulation).

2. Requesting a quote on the website

What data do we process?

Your name and email address and, if you provide them, the name of your organisation and your phone number. We also process the topic and training course you choose, the text of your message, the language of the form, the time of submission, and the fact that you consented to the processing. Please include in your message only the information needed for the quote.

Do you have to provide the data?

No law or contract requires you to provide it. However, we cannot reply without your name and email address, so the form cannot be sent without these and your consent. The name of your organisation and your phone number are optional; we will reply without them too.

What is the purpose?

To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.

Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the checkbox before sending the form. The checkbox is not ticked by default.

Yes, at any time, by sending an email to info@intermedmedia.hu. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal (Article 7(3) GDPR). After you withdraw your consent, we delete the data related to your quote request.

How long do we keep it?

For 1 year after your enquiry is closed, after which we delete it, including from the mailbox; if you withdraw your consent earlier, until the withdrawal. If we conclude a contract based on the quote, we will inform you separately about the processing related to the contract (legal basis, retention period) when the contract is concluded.

Where does the data go?

The form data reaches the info@intermedmedia.hu mailbox by email, through our hosting provider’s server. The website does not store it in a database, and we do not transfer it to any other system.

3. Website analytics

Visits are measured by Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia). The measurement script is loaded from Plausible’s server, so when you open a page, your IP address and browser information reach Plausible. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not track visitors; we only see aggregated data, such as the number of page views, the referring website and the country. You cannot be identified from this data.

What is the purpose?

To see how many people visit the website and which content brings them here, and to improve the website accordingly.

Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): measuring and improving the use of the website without identifying visitors.

How long do we keep it?

Plausible does not store IP addresses; the aggregated statistics contain no personal data.

You can object to this processing (section 6).

4. Technical logs

Our hosting provider (Rackhost) logs incoming requests to operate and secure the website, for example the IP address, the time, the page opened and the browser type.

What is the purpose?

Operating the website securely, and detecting and preventing errors and attacks.

Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): the security of the website and of the data received through it.

How long do we keep it?

For up to two months: the logs are archived monthly, and the previous month’s archive is deleted automatically at the end of each month. They may remain in the hosting provider’s backups until the end of the backup cycle.

You can object to this processing (section 6).

5. Who has access to the data?

The data is seen by those of our staff who work on answering enquiries or operating the website. Our processors may process the data only on our instructions, under a contract with us:

  • Rackhost Zrt. (Tisza Lajos körút 41., 6722 Szeged, Hungary; company registration number: 06-10-000489) – website hosting, the info@intermedmedia.hu mailbox and the technical logs;
  • Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia – website analytics.

We process the data within the European Union and do not transfer it to third countries. We do not sell it, and we only disclose it to third parties where the law requires us to.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what data we process about you and give you a copy of it (access, Article 15 GDPR);
  • correct inaccurate data (rectification, Article 16 GDPR);
  • delete your data (erasure, Article 17 GDPR);
  • restrict the processing (restriction, Article 18 GDPR);
  • give you the data you provided in your quote request in a machine-readable format, or transfer it to another controller (data portability, Article 20 GDPR).

You can withdraw your consent at any time (section 2). You can object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interest (sections 3 and 4) (Article 21 GDPR).

You can send your request to info@intermedmedia.hu. We will reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest. Where necessary, taking into account the complexity and number of requests, this period may be extended by two further months; we will inform you of any extension, with the reasons, within the first month (Article 12(3) GDPR). Our reply is free of charge. If we have doubts about your identity, we may ask for additional information to confirm it.

7. Remedies

If you feel that we have infringed your rights, please write to us and we will try to put it right. You can also lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH; Article 77 GDPR):

If you do not live or work in Hungary, you can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of the EU Member State where you habitually reside or work.

You can also go to court (Section 23 of Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information). At your choice, you can also bring the action before the regional court (törvényszék) with jurisdiction over your place of residence or stay.

8. Other information

Automated decision-making

We do not make automated decisions based on your data, and we do not carry out profiling.

Cookies

The website does not use cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent.

Data security

We receive data over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only those who need it for their work have access to it.

Changes

If the way we process data changes, we will update this notice. The current version is always available on this page.
